Mirror
Child staring into the mirror. What do you see? Do you see all your sufferings, all your joys, and life layed out in front of you? "No", she responds. I see my hideous face, tears streaming down, and vomit on the corner of my mouth. Oh how I wish to break this cruel mirror. There is no denying what I see staring back at me. Can others see as I do? Only a few are ever permitted to be near my skin, within my head. They give me hope, when I have lost hope in myself. All that is within me. My heart and soul. I breathe in harsh oxygen. I will walk into adulthood knowing not where I will go or do, but I will continue on walking. Little girl on the wall do not lose hope. Keep on walking no matter how hard the road may be. You will be grateful you made it.
