Mirror Conversations

Do you know what it's like to live with no emotion?

Give the side-eye to everyone who's holy-ghostin

Rollercoastin through my life, when I should roller coastin

Hugs were no longer warm and toasted

Just necessarily unnecessary attempts for tears

To come down on your shoulders like its Neverary

But you can't see me down, I'm never weary

Never scary but the term never's scary

So I decided lemme pick up this poetry shit

Done messed around and discovered a poetry gift

Now poetry's it, it's live or death, the Midas touch

And mine is next, a lifeless fuck, my life's a mess

My life's a stress, and I can't fix it

Bob the Builder, can you fix it

No you can't cause I won't let you, I will confide in this pencil

These words won't let me hit you, let me get you

But these words are the only things I touch that doesn't poison me

Antidote for the poisoning, Pikachu, let me get a peek at you

Look you in the eyes and ask, did you poison me

Why does my hatred for you grow in me

But poetry gives me outlets to plug my energy

Gives me ways to love my injuries

Very subtle and stubborn, yin and yang with the synergy

Poetry taught me how to hate myself and love my enemies

And love myself and hate my enemies

Be careful where you touch like I'm anemones

I'm an enemy to the normal, cause it's cordial

Cause it ain't for me, but it may be for you, I don't adore you

Funny I had this conversation staring in the mirror

After a shower, where the steam wouldn't clear

So if can't see yourself, who do you talk to when you're all alone

Poetry taught me what may be right, may be wrong
