Mirror Mirror

Ecclesiastes 11:8 New English Translation (NET Bible)

8 So, if a man lives many years, let him rejoice in them all,
but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many—all that is about to come is obscure.

Me, mine and pappy

Thank you, that was great and really not expected

Thoughts had roamed my heart casting shadows everywhere

Always in search and being late as emotions seem infected

As good reasoning fell apart as my flesh can sense my sphere

Controlled by the power of the negative, I wade through the mire

A lonely road made up by self in the darkness of my being

The light that shows all positive I cut off at the wire

As I clean good from every shelf in the blindness of my seeing

I came and saw and overcame I found a clean bathroom

There I can dump my character and flush it all away

Then little left to tame what needs cleaning with a broom

Except the missing factor that somewhere I must pay
