Mirror, Mirror

I found the devil,

not in hell, but in

the infinite space

between my body and

the mirror.

I am a writer by necessity, not by nature. I write because I know that my life is a blink in the void of eternity, a fleeting splash of color upon a dull grey canvas. I write because it is a part of me, the same as I would breathe or my heart would beat. I write because my soul cannot help but pour out onto the page in the distinct chaos and frenzied thought that fill my swirling consciousness. I am a writer because I know no other way to live.
