Mirror, mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who's the fairest of them all?
Couldn't be, not what I see,
The gnarled beast staring back at me.
Why can't I perceive what others do?
Observing the funhouse, no one knew,
What I picture when I stare.
Noticing these faults, are they there?
Trapped in the image I've given myself,
Knowing these habits are bad for my health.
The scale gives me a number, never high.
All these tests, hip-to-waist and BMI.
Attempting to just prove me wrong,
My self-worth is almost gone.
I'll never really know who will win,
My self-control or my binge?
Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Please just shatter, break and fall.
