Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, Mirror

On the wall

Tell me what you see

Can you tell me why

Do I hate to look at you?

Mirror, Mirror

Would you mind,

Telling me the truth

About the reason I dislike

And practically hate myself?

The Mirror replies

With a voice so kind

Your heart could probably melt

“My darling girl you’re beautiful,

You’ve got to love yourself!”

“Your eyes they shine

As bright as the stars,

And your nose is perfect as is

Your voice is like silk and honey

Need I repeat myself?”

But Mirror, Mirror

On the wall

You must be mistaken

You must see another girl,

It isn’t I, you’ve spoken of.

“My darling girl,

I love you so,

But this just is not right,

Who told you this and killed your heart,

A crime if nothing less”
