Mirror, Mirror On The Wall...Beware The Monster, Dark and Tall
Teach me something about life, you know?
Let's be real...sit down and talk like two criminals
I start Simply waking up like an animal, teeth sharpened for murder,
claws I unsheathed are ready for tearing, simply waking up kicking and screaming
Ensnared like a human, with the outer skin of a human, I bare sudden sadness like death,
All my roots in the past will be domesticated, I will die here in the presence of my creator,
The trees won't stir for my demise, all that was mine belongs to time and its riddles
My ferociousness can find a place to sleep, where my bones will be buried deep, my children all become weak, and I am shadow after the touch of light, no trespasser will wander near,
Set fire to my feet that itch to run, and scratch the rust off my silent corpse,
The world is finally shocked, that such a mighty creature could have been defeated
And like you, criminal, my villainous carnage haunts the back of your mind,
Somewhere in the forgotten dark, restless sleep has me wishing we rest in peace.
