The Mirror Queen

Cherry lips, skin so fair

Curved out hips, and jet dark hair

Such beauty exists to spite my grace

To send me away, forever erased

Mirror, mirror hanging on the wall

Tell me, cursed mirror, am I worth it all

Could I find love, with the things that you say

Old, washed out, tired, and gray

Your eyes stare in my direction

I strive and cry, yearning for perfection

My heart is morphed, darkened, and rocked

So I will empty hers and keep it in a box

If I can't fill out beauty's demands

I will take it out with my own two hands
