Before Mirrors

Now is when you love to sit before mirrors Fixing your hair, making sure it is just right Putting on the face you wish you had Trying to hide who you really are But staring right back at you are the joys and fears What lies behind those eyes? The one you tried to hide You see the pain you have suffered You start to cry Because you know the lies The lies you tell yourself As you sit before the mirrors
