Mirrors

An unending piece of glass

Filled with infinite images

Showing the limitless beauty of a person.

Also every flaw

Every wrinkle, defect, and imperfection.

The reflection draws you in

Captures your happiness and holds it hostage

You become a slave to eternal inadequacies

Never young enough

Never thin enough

Always too ugly

When you star into the looking glass.
