Mirrors

Sitting in your mind.

All alone.

Your refuge

from the world.

But what are those?

Shining brightly

in the dark.

The mirrors.

Gazing into them you see not

yourself.

But monsters,

creatures,

old memories long

forgotten,

Surrounded by the sound of their laughter

in your mind.

No longer a refuge,

but a prison.

Held captive by

memories

long forgotten,

The monsters

of your mind.
