The mirrors of myself

I sit and look out upon all the hurt, pain, an lies being tossed at the young girl everyday.  I hear screams coming from inside her.  The voices are yelling at her to "be better than that" and "Don't do it".  Don't do what? Be better than whom?  Questions left unanswer. I see a guy taking her love for granted and taking advantage of her innocences. I see her heart shattered like broken glass after falling for the wrong guy. I see her regret fill her mind like an over flowing glass of water. She can't take it anymore.  I see the mental scars he left behind for someone else to heal them.  I see her still depending on his love.  I see her smile telling a different story from her eyes.  I observe the tears shedding from her face.  Her personality mirrors everything he did to her.  Standing looking at the young girl, I realize I am the girl.  I sit and look out upon myself.
