A Miscommunication

Depression is not just 'sad', it's so much more, so much less. It's everything and nothing and crashing and flying and falling and starving and feeling and numbness and pain. It's crazy and boring and mental and lazy and tired and smiles and pills and knives and water and darkness and light and secrets and heartbreak.

Depression is like drowning and breathing at the same time. It's normal and neutral and insane, altogether. You are so close to the shore of the beach, but you are so much closer to the middle of the sea. You are close enough to touch the moon, but you're still floating out in space. You have all of your feeling within your reach and yet you don't feel at all. Everything is right there and yet nothing exists.

So to all those people who don't understand or whoever has this miscommunication, now you can have but a taste.
