The Misconception
As I Write These Words ,
And Run My Hand Through My Hair .
You Look At Me And Automatically Perceive That I Do Not Care.
When Actually The Information I Retain Is Being Molded To My Brain.
Let Me Explain..
You Choose To Call Me A Goodie Goodie Because To Raise Your Hand In Class In Lame.
What's Lame About Being Smart ?
Because I Choose To Study And Not Sell My Body That Makes Me "A Stuck-Up Girl With No Heart ?"
No That Makes Me Determined To Decide My Own Destiny.
You Get Mad When Whites And Asians Get The Best And The Minorities Get What's Thrown To The Side, But You Choose To Sell Dope And Think School Is A Joke.
It's Not Racism, It's Self Genocide.
Our Ancestors Didn't Die For Us To Fail , Or Go To Jail.
They Expects Us To Be Kings And Queens As We Once Were.
As An Opiniated Educated Girl In A Judging World , I Concur.
My Black Is Beautiful.
My Black Is Smart.
My Black Has Soul.
My Black Has Heart.
If You Think The Reign Of My Generation's Black Excellence Is Over , Little Do You Know This Is Just The Start
