Misery
For miles around I spectate
This sea, a tragedy.
Isolation, fear, and regret
How did I ever amount to deserve
This despicable death?
Its at this moment I realize
What I need to survive
My life.
These internal demons, these memories
Presiding in my life as pain and remorse
The drugs, alcohol and divorce.
All these unrecognized blessings dropped into my life
No father, no mother,
Just my struggle through strife.
Adversity recently reviewed as a tragedy,
Now examined as my saving grace.
I mold these memories into my strength,
My boat from which I will escape this island,
These malleable memories define me
Who would I be with out them?
You see,
Its not simply just my misery,
Its the addition of perserverence through the dark
That real makes a mark.
Its what I live by,
Relentless pursuit
Of what your heart has determined as truth
James 1:2 is what I pursue
How about you?
