Misfit
I set aside realistic goals, like nine to fives with benefits for when we getting old. I seen mother struggle, just — to keep us all afloat, but life max level so the boat’s going under too. Damn
life jackets ain’t supportive like you think. If you don’t gas em full of air, you sinking like a tank. Like a drowning nightmare, but you just drooling in ya sleep. Got me fighting night terrors , I be thinking I’m Ali —or something, next to the greatest . I ain’t got the right hook or a jab but I’m making paces. I’m taking baby steps like them little niggas on facebook. I was making Moma proud—but I see the pain in her face when we move about “ I ain’t jealous ma; we gone get it when we need it, I’m saving money now ,so they gone envy when we eating. But it’s gone take some time , but you trust me just believe it . We gone be aight . That goes for all the house hold we gone be living nice. champagne lemonade, with a cup Ice . Just be patient ma ya lil boy was born to thrive and next year my year we gone be living life.
Next year my year we gone live the life
I hate to face the fact that time take forever , my mom getting tired, my antics I think she sick of. “Oh you rapper now?” Where ya tour bus kid. Why ya entourage late, where them blue bucks at? We needs these bills paid, fuck that rap shit Malik.
Ma we need a lot of things, but a 9/5 ain’t me. Id rather be out and do rap and make CDS. I’m tryna escape the life of EBT, swipes declining on the daily at the dollar tree. It followed me to class cuz the kid just too hungry to stay focused and teach say CPS in the office, they call me down and I already know how hell they be talking.
