Misfits of the Night

Light shines down on damp pavement Rain drops ebb and flow on concrete Silence washes over the streets Lightning, Thunder, Turbulent Winds Shadows fly from place to place Their souls wailing in the wind There is no time to waste Seconds turn to hasty decisions Which seem to unravel Without any apologies Causing one to fall With such a force That cannot be restrained Let them sit Watch the debris And ponder For the time will come When whimpers of truth shall never cease
