A Mismatched Fit

The origins of me

the origins of you

distant, yet

intertwined

We do not match

on the basis of appearance

distinct in color, yet

complimentary

You became my brother

two wombs,

one mother

There is a point

when appearance loses significance

When you realize

the world is more than the picture on it's cover.
