Misophonia

I'm sorry who I am is not who you want me to be!

My brain is messed up, but all I know is I am worth less than flea.

Who gives a crap if I die? Certainly not you.

"You're worthless!"  That's what I hear, subliminally spoken by you.

You don't care about what I feel, or the sounds that nearly kill me.

All you care about is crunching chips, and thinking that it's funny.

Or whistling your "s" and making me want to punch a tree.

No, really, I can see you! Contorting your mouth to amplify what drives me crazy.

All I want to know is, why you are like this?

All I want to know is, how am I to fight this?

When the ones sent to care for me seem to think it's funny,

That I die on the inside when everything is noisy,

That telling me I'm wrong all the time is nothing but a trifle,

That screaming about my mistakes is not like holding a rifle?!

I'm trying to be who I can be, but your lack of trust is painful,

It's hard to not give it all up when your whole life seems baneful.
