Miss America

From Forest far, high and wide The lives of my children now collide With I-pods, flat screens, cars and gold things Is this the life I was meant to bring? A new sun rises and a baby is born In this hell hole country that’s deeply torn With war and greed May god please feed Those starving children Who are in need They don’t understand the pain I feel Like being in a dream that isn’t real Or climbing a mountain to get to the top When will their foolishness finally stop! They do not know their native tone, And reject the religion with witch they were born Their children in ways I cannot explain They think that life is just a game! A single tree alone in the ocean I find myself feeling drugged by a potion As my leaves fall they scream and shout THIS IS NOT HOW I WANTED MY KIDS TO TURN OUT!!! I pray they learn to do good things And become the hope that I know they’ll bring OH MISS AMERICA How terrible you are BUT THANK YOU MISS AMERICA Because of you they’ll go far...
