Miss Independent

She walks above the surface

Sometimes feels like she's floating

But it's only a dark cloud

She fights to not feel hopeless

Her limit is not the sky

She stands to not feel useless

She doesn't want to cry

Tears only fall when she fails

Knowing her effort was not enough

Lessons are learned however

She is aware of failue

But she will always try

The world may go against her

Because success is not always found

But she will prevail

Even in the darkest skies
