Miss Invisible

I walked with her today

But I didnt' care

I hardly even noticed her there

She had some words to say

But I wouldn't hear

Her mouth spouted silence, even when near

She was there in the fray

But she didn't fight

Her weakness was hidden by our might

But she is there always

Whether noticed or not

She is the girl that everyone forgot

And come what may

She will touch me and you

When we're in hard times and help us pull through

Her words, a whisper in the wind

Her works, a drop in the ocean

But she does them still,

Her little acts of good

Always and forever.

The invisible girl, the one dressed in gray

Walks among you and me

Shining with a light we hardly ever see

Never asking for praise

She does what is right

And shines her light

Using her words,

Her ray-of-sun voice

She warms and aids those around her.

So when you walk with her today

The unnoticed one among us

Remember to help her on her way

Miss Invisible: The beautiful and glorious.
