Miss Me

Hearts struggle to crawl its way out of the darkness

Darkness buried underneath past pain, hate, and confusion

Confusion mixed with filth and fear

Fear that instigates sadness

Sadness that has a death grip wrapped around fragile trampled souls

Souls that were misunderstood

Misunderstanding viewed as weakness

The weakness that consumes the body

Bodies shattered to pieces by the tiniest words laced with hate

Hatred that runs deeper than we can endure

But we endure and plaster a sincere smile on our busied faces

Faces beaten by those who misunderstand

The misunderstood cast eyes down so no one can see into the soul and see the damage

Damage down each day by whispered lies told to the heart

Hearts convinced that no one can see our dark hearts through our transparent skin

Skin that desperately try to hide the blackness that runs through our veins

Veins full of agony and revenge

Revenge toward those who misunderstand

Misunderstand that when we look in the mirror we see what we have become

Becoming a coward brings a feeling of being inadequate

Inadequate compared to those who can endure

Endure the hatred and abuse

Abuse caused by other insecurity

Insecurity caused by hate, disappointment, and loathing

Loathing effecting the misunderstood

The misunderstood that are going to be free

Free of the filth and pain

Pain that will be replace with hope

Hope that those who misunderstand will understand

Understand that breaking ones soul will not mend another

Another soul broken by the abuse

Abuse that is a never ending cycle

Cycle that can be broken by detaching

Detaching from judging the misconstrue

The misconstrue that will purge the darkness

Darkness within the heart.
