Farewell Miss Potts
Miss Potts lived on Hillside Street
I'd walk past and there we'd meet.
It was her fifty-sixth year
Since she had moved here
She'd seen many a come and go.
Now she was old
But nonetheless bold
And never without a smile.
She told stories of the past
When she was young and fast
Oh how much things have changed.
The years went on
The people moved on
Out of sight, out of mind.
Now she is gone
Long since forgotten
Living through the memories left behind.
