"Missed"
Dear Dad,
I've missed you now, I've missed you forever
Why did you say you would leave me never?
You left this world like you've been excused
My heart aches, it feels so abused
It hurts so badly, my goodness sakes!
I don't know how much more of this I can take
I was eight when you passed, but I remember it all
I danced on your toes; you wouldn't let me fall
I don't sense your presence, not even your grace
And when I dream, I can't see your face
It's as if I'm crazy, no signs of your existence
You're too far away, it's like a never-ending distance
You were my father, my very best friend
It hurts to know you've gone to the end
I'll make you proud in all that I do
Forever remember, Dad! I love you
Your little angel,
Jesse
