A missed call from Dad...

Oh, I missed it! He called again, Dad I don't even know what he wanted to say A missed call from Dad... Maybe he wanted to tell me he misses me, Maybe he wanted me to tell him How well I've done in my studies He wanted to know how old am I He wanted to encourage me to stay strong as I grow old What a missed call from Dad! I thought he will call again Since the previous call wasnt answered I thought he would pay me a visit To check up on me Since the previous call wasn't answered I thought he wanted me to grow under the love of his wings To avoid going astray looking for love from old strangers Simply to close the gap of my father I simply thought he will call again, And ask about life and school I missed his call I wonder if it was a missed call because he missed me or a missed call because I miss him... I don't know which one of the two to put into mind A missed call from dad changed everything Since from then, I was always waiting for him My heart and door is always open waiting and ready for his arrival, Dad wherever you are I am waiting Since from that time I saw a missed call from you...

The poem is about the father figure we are always missing in life to those who don't have fathers. It is for those who have dads missing or those who miss their dads. The missed call in the poem is not literal missed call but the sense of unavailable dads that is why I chose to give it the "missed call" title!
