Missing Home

It was once a delegate dream to me,

That was dreamt and enjoyed,

And couldn’t resist

I remember everything and feel it within my very soul,

Even years to pass I still feel the presence,

Sweet and brisk presence

The way the snow fell softly upon the ground,

Dressing and bundled up

To keep cozy while shoveling tremendous amounts of snow

Many would disagree to shovel,

But after years of scooping and tossing,

It has become a habit, a connection to me

My final years before my departure

Were more than met the eye,

Even the excitement never left my mind

Tears have fallin of homesickness

For the enjoyment have felt deserted

And nothing could fill the hole in my heart

I once could recall the smell of my beloved home,

But feared I would lose it

And could never remember again

Though it hit me when rain fell,

The scent after fallin rain on the soil,

It was my home, in smell form

When I lived there, I didn’t have much fond of rain,

It was until I remembered what it was like to feel homesick

However, I can honestly say, I love the rain.

Weeks after snow fall, and weather is warm with a cool breeze

Is a way to remember home from sight and touch,

The feeling as you breath in clear air

Excitement of energy circulating through your body,

Eminently remarkable, and motivational

When a long distant memory is recreated

Happiness increases rapidly,

Feeling nothing can knock you down

And you are forever sky reaching

When flying seems possible,

When you can run

With infinite, powered, energy

Remembering that there is a home for me,

And a place that I belong

That’ll cause happiness till the end of time

It was then after I left home, that not only I missed home,

But if I could go back and relive seven years in Alaska

I would cherish my moments so much more

Years have passed and progressed,

And even thousands of acres away

Home will always be home

Homesickness can be cured

Of recreation,

And hope that you’ll see it again

Patience is indeed a virtue,

And knowing everything you desire

Will not come to you immediately

Building and rising to the occasion

Will only get you closer to your goal

And that’ll make all the difference

If I am patient and willing to defeat the challenges

My goal will be accomplished

And soon I can return home

I am a nerdy person, who is into Star Wars, Marvel, DC, IP man, and Bruce Lee. I'm usually shy at first, but can be a corny comedy person. I enjoy being outside (even in extreme cold weather), being with family and friends. I like to watch movies, play board & video games, write, and listen to music. I currently am searching for a way for me to become one with inner peace, to help calm myself of my past mistakes and become stronger.
