The Missing Piece

the city, the suit, the job

were the pieces I needed

in a world dominated by men

whose job was incomplete without

the lying, the cheating, the frauds

the riddle never solved

the question never answered

who’s next?

who could come

and be the next person

who would take this daunting city by storm

the lightning scars across the streets

a passionate fire who could not be tamed

as the world realized

that the solution to the riddle

the answer to the question

the missing piece

was

Me.
