A missing piece

A missing piece

Don’t say a word, just stay quiet for the time. We’ll have a farm; you, me and the chickens.

This dream we had, a peaceful land with many animals. 2 men and a farm.

Just give me more time. We could make this happen, I swear it.

Sweet old man, with your contribution, this dream draws near. 3 men and a farm.

Just one more month. We can really do it!

But you made a mistake- you always do. It’s fine; everyone does.

But this time, it’s just too wrong. Poor Lennie, you made a mistake never meant to happen.

I’m sorry for what I did, but I had no other choice. I know you never meant any harm, but it was too grave.

With this mistake, the dream of 2 men died along with the 3rd.

The time’s run out, the dream is incomplete without the 3rd man, a missing piece of the now broken dream. We can’t do without it. Lennie,

you are the missing piece.
