Missing a Piece

Why? We could of spent the last of our days together It could of been both or none We could of both died together instead of one living in the absence of the other  The cure that your death gave me will never cure my heart I feel like I am fighting for my life even though I am alive  but certainly not well  Your life gave me air Your smile gave me happiness Your words gave me forgiveness Without you I have none of that  Every breath I take will remind me You no longer breathe the same air Every laugh will take me back To when we could share our laughter The game of life I play will always be missing a player  Every day it makes more sense through my confused and angry brain I know You left so I didn't have to
