Missing You

I only feel lonely sometimes
On nights when my blankets don’t suffice
And I long for the warmth of your arms around me
When the ticking clock is just loud enough
To keep me awake and thinking
Of your breath on the nape of my neck
The calmness
The comfortable silence
My head resting on your chest
Your heartbeat
Because nothing else mattered
