Missing You

I miss you

shy, always smiling and generous

full of love and eagerness to learn

You

dating wasn't allowed, no kids

rules to follow and break

I miss you

no bills or rent

heartbreak

failures

You

no struggling or sorrow

when your parent were alive

I miss you

who will give thelife advice

tell you when you're wrong

help fix your mistakes

I miss them

now I have to be you

remember your words

live in my truth

I am YOU
