A Mission
As a young boy, I never really knew what I wanted to as a career. As a seventeen year old in the twelfth grade I’m still a little indecisive. Constantly introduced to different careers; firemen, police officers, dentistry, and the list goes on and on. My mind was forever changing ideas about how I should carry myself or what type of man I wanted to be as I grew as an individual. As an early teen I join the Junior Reserves Officers Training Office hoping that I would grow reassurance in myself. I was enrolled in the program for almost two years, which made me the fine young man that I am today. The spring of 2012 I went to Orlando with my battalion on a region operation. I saw the same doctor that treated me from the previous summer. He attended the 2011 Sea Cadets Recruit Training and was on duty during the time I attended. There were many seamen that were wounded that were not equipped to take on the physical challenges that were presented to them. I was fortunate enough to be in shape and mentally prepared so it became a breeze to me. The doc saw my superior skills to my fellow comrades and asked to be his apprentice during the times I was available. During those fourteen days I was under his wings learn his many of his methods and techniques. I have learned many life lessons and he has taught me different ways into approaching different situations. When I came back home to my family they could tell just from the glimpse in my eyes I have changed and look more determined than ever. After I have told my story so many times like it was a passed down tradition I thought about my life. When I reminisce about the time I have spent away from the world without a cell phone or communication from the outside world it gave me time to recuperate. From then on told myself I was going to devote my life to helping others that can not help themselves. I wanted to be a RN (registered nurse) and there was nothing that was going to stop my hard work and dedication from achieving my goal. Just from that experience alone I have been put in leading positions to help others by density. Every time I was to help someone I felt a cool chill down my spine letting me know I was doing the right thing. Recently, I have keeping my head in the books and excelling in my academics. I attend Frank H. Peterson Academics of Technology, and maintain a 3.2 GPA weighted. I am senior class President of 2014 and I have been on my ‘A’ game. Many of my peers and classmates look up to me for guidance and instruction. Constantly I have to lead by example always practice and carry myself like someone is watching me at all times. People say that I am a born leader or I have great qualities, and I agree but I think it is because I isolate and take advantages of opportunities. My mentors and counselors give me guidance to what to do in certain situations because they have lived and learned. They have learned from their mistakes and made guided me away from that path and closer to the path of perfection and the art of being flawless. After high school, I want will attend Santa Fe with my undergrad in nursing then transferring to University of Florida for my Bachelors in Science. Shortly after obtaining my bachelors I will enlist in the United States of America Navy as an officer. After serving my country for 20 years I will retire as a lieutenant with a story to tell.
