On a Mission

As I stand in the shadows of darkness

Feeling empty, feeling lost

I'm on a mission to find true Love

No matter what it costs

Time after time, after every failed attempt

My heart continues to understand,

What it needs to be content

It seems as if no one truly understands

How it feels to give your all, just to have

it all snap just like a rubberband

But I do have faith in the man above

I know he'll send me somebody as sweet

as a dove

For now, I'll be pateint. Zooming away

from those who I know won't be there

to better my day.

I'm in love with love

Is it so hard to believe?

That someone, some sweet day could actually

say, they're in love with me?

But that's all a fantasy right now,

It's simply all about getting there

in the first place anyhow
