The mistake of a mortal

She knew who he was

returing his gaze

playing hooky with a king

She knew what they were doing

a whisk of few moments

leading to an empty heart in hand

She knew when to disband

the look of the queen

a  turn of too many heads

But she knew not where it lead

down her river of tears

consoled by her cursed head of of hisses

It was too late to not be the misses
