misunderstanding love

The lips of hers are nothing but flesh

As diamonds are rocks

As a dollar is paper

What meaning is value  without one who gives it

When lover meets maker

When sinner meets taker

her lips are priced as rice in famine

Value resides no not in a thing

But created inside the mind of a being

I utter I love you, but what good does that do

The passion equate, but for me it is true

I know not feelings but mine

You have yours to that I am blind

Nor any 2 lives have ever seen through

Not double of pairs but eyes single as two

You lack to look out of my eyes

or walk in my shoes

So feelings exchanged are never equal
