Misunderstood

She sat by herself, so misunderstood Nobody knew why she felt the way she did, her life seemed so perfect So misunderstood The deep cuts through her heart could tell the story Daddy leaves, mommy struggles with addiction Beat, Beat, Beat She did not want to be taken away So she kept it a secret yet today mommy so unfortunately near, daddy so far away She grows and goes to college, to fulfill her dream Finally, for once in her life she is understood
