Misuse of a Word

Mind. Body. Soul. Onto which state does freedom hold? Or is there a "freedom"? Are we psychologically insane, To try and come up with a word -yes, just a word- That could eliminate and eradicate our troubles and pain? What does freedom actually mean? Can we ever understand, Although this cryptic word was created by man? Could it be the soaring of a bird through a cool breeze? Could it be the future of a poverty stricken young man who makes a living off of begs and pleads? What can freedom be? More importantly, Does it satisfy? Does it end the everlasting Depression cycle of sighs and cries? Can we hold onto it when in dire need, To feed and enlighten the community, including you and me, on what's supposed to be our perfect world and society? Or does it just fade away? Like the sun on a concluding day. Without a place to find where it plans to hide. And you're just left. Left in darkness, without a spark of illumination. Will freedom come to save and enlighten you? I think not. It's a term that allegedly eliminates the bad you've got. Supposed to make you feel relieved. Maybe something like being "free". All in reality, It's a seven letter expression used to confuse, A bomb ready to ruin and overuse The fuel in our precious minds And make us think that we have nothing to worry about when we actually do. WARNING! Don't allow freedom to pull the wool over your eyes For hardly ever does it exist in the soul, body, or mind.
