Mixed emotions.

Swiped right, met on tinder,

Eventually,

Got chatting from the off,

Happily.

Beautiful eyes and smile,

Expressively,

Interesting background,

Multi-culturally.

At mid-stage as well, story to tell,

|Hurtfully,

Creazy ex from the past,

Domestic, abusively.

Effected you and your 2 angels too,

Regretably,

Trying to move on from this stage,

Difficulty.

Back to the night,

Interestingly,

Conversation getting serious now,

Flirting.

Leaning over the table,

Kissing,

Feeling the horn,

Massively.

24 hours later, still talking and holding you,

Closely,

Theres definitely something going on,

Connecting.

Few weeks later,

More meetings,

Comfortable with one another,

Conversation flowing.

Alarm bells go off,

Cognitively,

Something don't feel right,

Draining.

Both had shit from the past,

Horribly,

Try to see things as they are,

Objectively.

No projections from me,

Pointing,

See your insecurities,

Clearly.

Attempt to talk this through,

Fairly,

Can see I've done nothing wrong,

Clearly.

Say goodbye's till next time,

Lovingly,

Get in my car, drive home,

Confusingly.

Feel hurt by your words,

Melancholy,

Things not making sense,

To me.

Don't want to feel emotions,

Want understanding,

Laughs and enjoyments,

Merry.

Live for the moment,

Openly,

Don't want to think things over time,

Stupidly.

Let things go, let things pass,

Easily,

Comes up again, know what to do,

Another journey.

WestLondonMan

Like a lot of us been through shitty parts in my life. In 2018 I was living in London, attending a part time acting school. It was a great time. Also I was presenting at an event, one of the tutors at the acting school took me under his wing and mentored me. Part of that process he taught me how to write poetry, or at least express myself through it. Now, I write a poem every day, I write for a hobby. I've had a varied career, the only thing I can say is writing is the best things I've ever done. I absolutely love it. Have got 14 publications on a short story website and launching my own website in December 2022, http://www.PeterGreenhall.com Feel free to add any comments. I hope you enjoy reading my poems as much as I enjoyed putting them together.
