Modern Acceptance
Smiles hide tears in my eyes while flirtatious remarks and suggestive gestures shield my insecurities. Wide hips and full lips sucumb to male lust, which curiously I don't crave but allow to heighten my feelings of self worth. Forget the fact that these scars on my arm pave the way for the girl today who stares in the mirror hoping that just maybe for a moment, this moment, she is a woman. My mind state remains in a place where nothing exists and existance is a mere uxury to which I cannot afford. Empty pockets are the least of my worries while I burden a heart full of sadness calibrated by secrets I hold hoping the hungry might unfold, but to my disatisfacton, no one likes a sob story.
