The Modern Day
No hard pressed days
No frivilous ways
Victory is sought
Miles upon end
In the gleaming spin
A walk is made
Deserted roads
And half-baked moans
The victim runs wild
A fifty cent drink
From the aquarium sink
And one more fish in the ocean
Battered and worn
Throught beatings and score
The child returns home
In fields of wheat
That shine of sweat
Golden bread in the morning glows
Lifted heads
And shaken dreds
All in the split of an eye
One more hard pressed day
With more frivilous ways
Together on a new day
