A Modern Day Lovestory

Once upon a time, there lived a king

People loved him so much, that God blessed him with beautiful daughters.

One of them, her name was Sandy, was especially stunning.

Her beauty even compelled the saddest bird to sing.

On hot days Sandy liked to sit outside by the waters

Playing with her fidget-spinner while quietly humming.

One day however

The spinner slipped out of her hand and fell into the water.

She cried and cried and got louder and louder

Her beloved fidget was in need of a rescue endeavor.

She leaned over the edge and fell underwater

And became unconscious after losing her power.

Suddenly, she awakes outside the lake

And sees a big fat frog upon opening her eyes.

He sits next to her, holding her fidget spinner between his fingers.

At first, she thought he was fake

But he had saved her during sunrise.

Her gratefulness for his help lingers.

In order to thank the frog

She places a kiss on his broad mouth.

Sparks fly and he turns into a prince

Who was bewitched and turned while on a jog.

He quickly runs south

Which made the poor princess wince.

She felt the sparks during the kiss

And believed they were meant to be

Sandy saw herself as his bride

Sadly, she wasn’t part of his bliss.

Instead, he got on his knee

And told her “Cash me outside”
