²⁴ He deprives the leaders of the earth
of their understanding;
he makes them wander
in a trackless desert waste.

Modern Leaders ... always some exceptions 

Am I leading the pack waving with empty hands?

Trying to fill the need of some in this darkened land

Promises stacked in a heap not to be materialized

Vows made and broken to show who's bastardized

A one-man show of emptiness supporting the only hoax

With the power, that was never there misleading many folks

Like a circular saw collecting dust for the lack of energy

Never to be used to build again upon the gift of synergy

“I did not know!” A useless excuse for my chosen blindness

 “I read the bible and go to church!” My form of kindness

“I cared a lot you know!” but really for only me and mine

Now you state it was like “throwing pearls before the swine”

Oh! Here I go with my soul in tow in a patterned similar circle

Trying to be a guide to them who are pruned like a grape-myrtle

Making all to feel: Oh! I'm so good with the excuses I am making

And then we’ll all travel together not knowing why we’re faking
