Mom

Because I love you,

It hurts my heart, the look in your eyes

Confused love, seeking clarity

Years gone by, yet familiarity

The compassion we shared of long ago

Do you know that’s what you still bestow

Time has robbed us of the memories we share

Do you know that I love you

Do you know that I care
