To mom

O captain my captain, you taught me to walk.

Did it hurt when I walked away?

Does it hurt knowing?

Knowing you wont see my anymore?

O captain my captain, you taught me to read.

Will it hurt when I read the letter?

Will it hurt when I read the lease?

The lease on a new life you helped to make?

O captain my captain, you taught me to be a carpenter

Does it hurt to watch me use the tools?

Does it hurt to know its your fault?

Not because you pushed me away but

because you taught me so well…

But was it enough my captain?

O captain my captain,

Am I ready to walk without you?
Can I read without you?

Can I build without you?

Who can I be without You?
