Mom
I need you
Where is it that you got your heart
you didnt pass school, how are you so smart
how do you know who are my bad friends
how do you know every wound will mend
where is it that you got so inspired
you remember everything i told you, are you wired?
you tell me you love me every day
howd you get that way?
i thank god that you pray
because I talk to god but dont know what to say
thank you for everything that youve done
thank you for all the good times you brung
You never doubted me
But i deserted you
Seen me in shackles and it murdered you
Im sorry I didnt come home a couple nights
i was posted out like a street light
trying to be somebody i wasnt
i got in trouble when i must'nt
they grabbed me and didnt let me roam
Im sorry I didnt come home
but you still loved me
put no one else above me
I know you dont deserve this
I promise i dont do it on purpose, jus 5 more minutes mom
I need you
