Mom
Mom
Some are underappreciated some are not
Some have one kid or maybe a lot
Some are tall some are short
Some rule the house others the court
They are there for everyone at the drop of a hat
They support their kin and let them not fall flat
They extinguish the worst and bring out the best
They make sure their child is above the rest
Families with them should be thankful everyday
For they are the greatest gift given, anyone would say
Families without them should not yet cry
For they are above them in the bright blue sky
I am blessed to say mine is still here
Hopefully for a long time she won’t disappear
I owe her my life and much more than that
I can’t seem to find the right way to format
To format my love and happiness toward thee
I hope she will be able to understand and see
That I love her with the full capacity of my heart
And know that she and I will never ever part
I am no Dr. Seuss with rhymes in my head
I am just a simple boy who wrote this in his bed
I have something Mr. Seuss doesn’t have however
That is a woman who is the greatest mom…ever.
