The Moment

The moment is molten The moment is sweet Cascading and swollen All but discreet Somewhere I’ve found, in the oncoming street The leavings of sandals, the imprints of feet If ever, if ever, this moment, we meet His majesty’s music, crescendo, repeat In time we’re forgotten The way that we share How time’s passed and rotten The ones who still dare In the moment we lose the seasons’ cold stare Evading years gone, backpacking wear And flying on wingspans of fraudulent air The moment is here, the moment was there It’s gone now.
