A Moment Like This

It’s the small moments in life that change your life forever

I am thankful to have lived through that moment

I remember the day we met

How quiet I was and how I thought the idea of getting a tutor was stupid

Little did I know how crucial that moment would be

You took me in and you helped me

Not only in academics, but in subjects outside of the classroom

I learned so much more because you took me under your wing

You took in a girl and you turned her into a smart, confident chica who’s ready to take on the world

You never gave up on me and for that, I am forever grateful

Who would I be without you?

What would I be doing had you walked away?

I certainly would not be attending a university

I certainly would not have had such great academic success

I certainly would not have ventured outside of my comfort zone

Most importantly, I most certainly would not be the person I am today without you.

You are not just a mentor

You are a friend

A person I couldn’t imagine my life without
