In the Moment
I've been here and there.
Across the ocean, through the air.
Adventure is my name and exploration is my game.
The world is my canvas
I will paint it the colors of my heart.
Wherever the wind blows, that's where I'll go.
Nothing can hold me back, this I know.
Music is my remedy.
My best friend.
The most fantastic addiction.
There's no other feeling like feeling the beat of the music match the beat of our hearts.
There is always a song that will perfect the moment.
Whether happy or depressed.
Music will always be that imperfect perfection to let us know
We are not alone.
When I write, my thoughts spill out onto the page.
They flow from my pen and create words.
To sentences.
To paragraphs.
To pages.
Words are whimsical.
They're sad, happy, adjectives, nouns, adverbs.
They can be made into whatever we want.
Formed and manipulated into complete thoughts.
What's in my mind all comes out with pen and paper in hand.
Now I'll write my name in the sand,
Watch the waves wash away what once was,
What could have been,
And what is not.
But I do not live in the future.
Life is a beauty.
So let's stop trying to save our names from being washed away,
And let's live in the moment of where we lay.
